MIGHTY ME Since childhood, I have heard about the Almighty. I always pictured Him someone or something very mighty, very big, immense and obviously larger than life. Once I was thinking about something and suddenly I saw an ant, walking past me in her own thoughts, with her own pace and her own passion for life. I stopped her, blocked her path, changed her trajectory, added a mass upon her, drew a thin line of water in front of her and observed her response. It was not very different from ours, when we face the same thing. All of a sudden, I felt like the mighty image of myself portrait on the canvas of childhood memories. So, how is it? God is someone so huge that we can’t see him? If I am living in one of the colonies of ant, I may never understand the circumference of a single human room, forget about the house or the city or the state or the country or earth or solar system and so on. INDEPENDENT INDIA 15 TH AUGUST 1947, by the stroke of mid night, India got independence and two centuries of British Rule came to an end. This is what we studied in our history classes, but is this all? I learnt a lot about India in my primary and secondary level education but now I realize I should have questioned the authorities at that time, but then I realize, you can’t question an authority. The British Army, not even them, a small company of The Great Britain came to India and conquered it so easily as if this was a barren land, not supported by any protection to the unwanted malware. Why were we defeated and then ruled against our will? What exactly happened at that moment and what led to the slavery? I don’t know and now I don’t trust any authority to get a genuine answer, so basically I don’t want to know what were the incidences in that era. COMMENDABLE SANITY Sometimes I wish I could be and I should be a robot. No brain, no feelings, no emotions, just an order to follow and a work to do. Being human gives us a different window to look through but as the expectation accelerates and escalates, closing the window becomes difficult. Doing something is a different aspect and expecting the expected result is another. Somebody said that expecting the world to treat you nice, just because you are nice to the world has similar consequences as expecting a lion not to eat you, just because you are a vegan. How true and precise. Smarter people have problem, why are others so stupid; mediocre have problem, why these people think they are so genius; parents have problem, why their children don’t obey them; children have problem, why parents are unable to understand them. INDIA AGAINST INDIA Democratic, republic, independent and secular. What does it mean? One country, many faces. This is a country, where language changes every 3 miles, where political parties are more than multiplexes, where citizens don’t understand the mother language, where donation starts even before education, where people kill and worship the same thing, where god are rich and religion is a business, where aping is genuine and originality is a shame, where people don’t know about bhagat singh or khudiram bose but can prepare a thesis on metal bands, where people are least bothered about solution, rather prefer creating problems as then they can be busy solving it. Tell me one thing, what is the use of money? I, being a normal human, will need money for a better and secure future of my family, be it, a comfortable flat to live, good quality clothes, higher education to children, good food, a luxurious car, new technologies, vacation trip etal.
